Atmel has announced the newest member of the Atmel maXTouch® S Series of touchscreen controllers. The Atmel mXT540S device, with 540 nodes, delivers high-performance capacitive sensing for touchscreens up to 7” and supports gloved finger operation and passive stylus.  In related news, Atmel maXFusionTM Technology, which integrates sensor functionality in the newest maXTouch devices, has been nominated for an EETimes China ACE Award.
